The MAPHM is an association of persons with an interest in promoting public health in Malta. MAPHM is a non-governmental, non-political and non-union organisation. The Association’s objectives are to promote high standards of practice and professional ethics in Public Health; to promote high standards of Public Health specialist and undergraduate training as well as their professional development. Furthermore the Association aims to promote and strengthen public health policy and practice and to encourage research and publications in the relevant field. The MAPHM seeks to be the leader on Public Health issues in the Maltese Islands and to advocate for policies that contribute to the enhancement of Public Health in Malta. Executive Committee of MAPHM – 2009 The Executive Committee is elected for a period of two years. Next elections are due beginning of 2012.

Membership of MAPHM - FULL MEMBERSHIP Granted to any applying medical professional who is in possession of a basic degree such as MD or equivalent and a Masters degree in Public Health and a minimum of four years Practice in Public Health and thus in possession of specialist status in Public Health as ratified by Specialist accreditation Committee in Malta or elsewhere in Europe. |
